For this year’s edition of the SEMA show, the golden bowtie automaker showcased two concepts vehicles largely based on the 2015 Colorado mid-size pickup truck. As if there’s nothing else a Colorado owner can do with its truck, both concepts are adamant the Colorado is a handy workhorse for adrenaline junkies.
Yes, Chevrolet tells that the Colorado Natique (orange & dark grey paint job) and the Performance Concept (matte gray exterior paint) are oriented toward people that enjoy adventure activities like mountain biking, riding dirt bikes and sailing.

That’s why the Natique is depicted in the rendering below as the main tool for trailing a small boat, while its bed is occupied by a little surf board. In comparison to the Natique, the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado Performance wants to prove its bed is spacious enough to accomodate Ricky Carmichael's dirt bike.

The motocross icon explains that “where I take my bikes, a full-size truck isn’t always the best solution, so a maneuverable mid-size truck like the Colorado is just the ticket.” You can’t argue with that reasoning.

When equipped properly, the Chevrolet Colorado in 4WD guise and equipped with the 305-pony 3.6L V6 motor can haul a segment-leading 7,000 lbs. As for the entry-level 2.5-liter four-pot engine, this 2WD Colorado supports a 3,500-pound trailering rating and drinks a segment-leading 27 mpg highway.

Furthermore, the 6’ 2’’ cargo bed of the Chevy truck can accommodate stuff up to eight feet long with the tailgate down. As a brief reminder, the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado in its most basic guise holds a low MSRP of $20,995 including dealer freight.
