2015 Cayenne S E-Hybrid Commercial: Refueling Is Child's Play

A Porsche SUV that drinks only 3.4 liters of fuel should sell by itself. After all, that's lower than a Toyota Prius. But considering the brand new Cayenne S E-Hybrid stickers for €82,000 in Germany($76,400 - US MSRP), maybe it does need a little push of marketing genius.
In preparation for the launch of its first-ever plug-in hybrid SUV this November, Porsche has just released this cool ad where it explains refueling the car is a child's play. The video shows how a young boy is eager to refuel his father's new ride. He takes the keys off the living room table, which has the boy's parents worried. However, they're relived to discover that all he wants is to plug the vehicle in and recharge the batter.

It's simple humor, but maybe what Porsche is showing us will happen in the real world. The tech savvy young generation will take to EVs and PHEVs like fish to water and once they see the benefits of these pioneering vehicles, they're unlikely to go back to petrol.

The 2015 Cayenne S E-Hybrid is motivated by a combination of 333 hp 3.0-liter supercharged V6 and 95 hp electric motor. With a total output of 416 hp, its Tiptronic S gearbox and all-wheel drive system have no problem pushing from 0 to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 243 km/h. It's worth noting though that even with the battery fully charged, pure electric range is only 36 kilometers at best.
