Can-Am has unveiled more details on their all-new Spyder F3 machine, as well as the base prices and the accessories which can be installed on these trikes. Like we suspected in the first place when we first laid eyes on the red-painted frame of the spy photos, Can-Am is offering two versions of the F3, the base one and the F3-S, for those who favor a more aggressive, racey look.
The 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3 arrives with a price of $19,499 (€15,320) for the base version, while the F3-S machine can be yours if you’re ready to fork out $20,999 (€16,500). If you’re not that fond of sorting out through the numerous accessory catalogs, Can-Am is happy to introduce you to three factory-customized trims of these bikes, the Touring Escape, Muscle Attitude and Urban Nights, each with its own add-ons and perks, for some extra cash, obviously.

A high-torque Rotax 1330 Ace triple engine

As we anticipated, the 2015 Can-Am F3 is powered by the 1330cc triple-cylinder Rotax engine introduced with the latest Spyder RT. Customers are in for quit a blasting ride, as the EFI, electronic throttle-controlled mill produces 115 horsies at 7,250 revs and 96 lb-ft (130 Nm) at 5,000 rpm.

Just like any other modern Spyder, the 2015 F3 is loaded with a ton of electronic safety features which compensate for the fact that this is not a leaning trike. Stability Control System, Traction Control System, Anti-lock Braking System and Dynamic Power Steering are all standard.

Transmission is 6-speed unit which can be ordered in a manual or semi-automatic version, both with reverse. The hydraulic disc brakes are Brembo, and the suspensions are supplied by Fox. A comprehensive hybrid dash provides multiple readings on bike and ride-essential variables, too.

One of the great things about the 2015 Spyder F3 is that Can-Am is also offering customers the UFIT system, a quick, reliable and easy-to-use method of choosing the F3 which suits their stature best. The Can-Am website only requires potential customers to specify their gender and height, and will make a recommendation as to the optimal position of the handlebars and foot controls. Of course, riders can go freestyle and choose the combination they like, regardless of the recommendation.
