Meant to bring the larger CTS in line with the aesthetic identity of the 2015 ATS Coupe, the updated mid-size luxury sedan boasts a fresh front fascia.
Even though Cadillac unveiled the third-gen CTS at the beginning of 2013 and sales commenced in October last year, the Detroit manufacturer is already prepping a small facelift for the 2015 model year.
Our spy photographers managed to snap a few pics of the updated CTS without an ounce of camouflage on it during a short test run. It looks showroom ready, so we presume that Cadillac dealers will get the new model in the second quarter of 2014.
The new model differs from the current one only at the front. First of all, the black plastic radiator grille now features a new design pattern with three horizontal bars on top instead of two, finished in good ol' polished chrome. Although masked, the badge is most certainly Cadillac's modern crest design, which is a tad wider and doesn't feature the manufacturer's traditional laurel wreath.
Unlike the 2015 ATS sedan, the lower grille is still a three-piece job, the only difference between the new and old designs being represented by the polished chrome detailing on the lower side vents.
