Introduced at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show last month, the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe could spawn a convertible version in the future, Cadillac brand global chief Bob Ferguson admitted a couple of weeks ago.
“If you have a winner, you should exploit that and offer variations,” he said, declining to go into specifics. If Cadillac approves a convertible version of the ATS Coupe, it’s likely it won’t be in showrooms before 2016, but that didn’t stop RM.Design from rendering the vehicle with its roof chopped off.
Not a bad look for the smallest Cadillac ever built, but it remains to be seen if Americans would prefer it against the upcoming BMW 4 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class convertible.
Now that we’ve seen how the convertible ATS might look like from the behind, how about a 2015 ATS Wagon? Cadillac could introduce one of those as well.
