2015 BMW M4 Goes from 0 to 250 km/h in 24.5 Seconds

The new M3 and M4 are surely not to be messed with but things are better put in perspective when you actually see them in action on the track or on an unlimited highway like those that are extremely popular in Germany.

That’s what the guys from AutoTop Netherlands found out when they headed down to Germany to test the new models. They took their GoPro cameras with them and started recording everything they could.

Amongst the things they captured on camera was also an all out sprint from 0 to the superior limit with Launch Control, of course. The best thing about the video is that it shows that anyone can achieve the numbers claimed by BMW for the M4, no matter how good of a driver he/she is (or is that a bad thing?).

For the 7-speed DCT fitted model, the Germans are claiming the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint can be done in 4.1 seconds. Guess how much the guys got with the Launch Control?

Moving even further up on the speedometer, it only took 3.7 seconds more to reach 150 km/h (93 mph), 9.4 more to double it and, in just 24.5 seconds the car was doing 250 km/h (155 mph) which is the speed at which most cars are electronically limited.

However, this one was fitted with the M Driver’s Package that allows you to go over that limit, to 280 km/h (174 mph). Needless to say that the guys put that to the test as well and were looking at a speed of 291 km/h (180 mph) when the car stopped accelerating. Don’t be confused though, that’s because of the speedometer error that is present in every car. If a Vbox would’ve been available, it would’ve showed 280 km/h.
