Star Motorcycles shows their 2014 model of the small V Star 250, a great chopper for beginners.
Given the 27" (68.6 cm) seat height, the 2014 V Star 250 is great for smaller riders, boys and girls alike: it offers a reassuring feeling when stopped and being able to get a solid foothold on the ground. At the same time, this quarter-liter chopper is very nimble and easy to steer even at low speed, thanks to its low weight of 326 lbs (147 kg).

Small, but by all means, not tame, the new V Star 250 comes with a 15-cubic-inch (249cc) air-cooled, SOHC 60-degree V-twin engine, fueled through 26mm Mikuni carb and mated to a manual 5-speed gearbox with wide ratios which make riding truly easy.

Chrome accents on the engine and side covers add to the overall styling of the 2014 V Star 250, while the two-piece seat offer the possibility to ride with a pillion. Stopping is made with the help of a front 282mm disc and an 130mm rear drum. While the adjustable pre-load of the single rear shock provides a nice complement for the smoothness offered by the 35mm forks.

Star claims the 2014 V Star 250 does 78 mpg (3 l/100km) so you're in for quite a lot of two wheeled fun with one full tank. The 2014 V Star 250 arrives in July in Candy Red and Pearl White, for $4,340 (€3,300).
