2014 Toyota Corolla Interior and Front End First Photos

The Toyota Corolla is known for only two things: being bland and being one of the most popular cars ever made. We don’t know just how popular it will be, but the new generation seen here for the very first time is quite bland.

Toyota has developed a completely new architecture for front-wheel drive cars that was first introduced on the 2013 Auris hatch and wagon. However, the Corolla is by far the most important beneficiary of the platform.

As far as we know, these are the first photos showing any sort of detail from the actual 2014 Corolla. These appear to be scans from a Japanese magazine taken by Brazilian website Noticias Automotivas.

The front end of the Corolla resembles that of the Auris, new RAV4 or Avensis sedan. Yet compared to something like the Dodge Dart, it strikes us as being too simple, and not in an elegant way.

The interior layout seems similar to that of Auris but offers fewer buttons, no navigation screen and lesser materials.
