With about two months left until the 2014 SX4 goes on sale, Japanese automaker Suzuki has revealed further details about its brand-new compact crossover and published a comprehensive set of photos.
Designed to compete with C-segment vehicles such as the new Nissan Qashqai, the Suzuki SX4 will arrive with two 1.6-liter engines, a petrol one rated at 120 HP and 156 Nm, and a Fiat-sourced diesel unit delivering 120 HP and 320 Nm of torque.
As far as fuel economy goes, the naturally-aspired petrol powerplant returns a combined cycle fuel consumption of 5.4 liters/100km when mated with a five-speed manual gearbox, while the diesel provides 4.2 liters/100km when connected to a six-speed manual transmission and start-stop system.
Equipped with the company’s AllGrip all-wheel drive system, the Suzuki SX4 will arrive with four driving modes - auto, sport, snow and lock. The company’s new compact crossover goes on sale in September.
