It’s been about two weeks since our skilled photographers caught the 2014 Meriva being tested in Germany, and the Opel decided to unwrap the facelifted compact MPV.
Gifted with redesigned front and rear ends, which include updated LED front/tail lamps, a revised front grille and new LED daytime running lights, the 2014 Meriva has received a new engine as well - the company’s 1.6-liter CDTI that’s already available in the Zafira Tourer.

The powerplant that replaces the old 1.7-liter mill will deliver 136 HP and 320 Nm of torque once fitted in the Meriva and will provide a fuel consumption of only 4.4 liters / 100 km (64.2 mpg UK / 53.4 mpg US) and CO2 emissions of 116 g/km.

No word on pricing yet, but Opel says the 2014 Meriva gained a brand new IntelliLink infotainment with 7-inch colors display, voice control support, rear-view camera and Bluetooth. As you might have already guessed, the same updates apply to the British market Vauxhall Meriva.
