Since Mercedes likes quoting “people” on the fact that the S-Class is the best car in the world, the company is determined for this to be proved by sales figures. Well, the start is more than promising for the 2014 S-Class.
The car has already been launched on all three key markets and, despite only enjoying three months of presence, the vehicle has already registered 30,000 orders.
It’s interesting that the S-Class hasn’t even unleashed its full range of engines yet. It’s true, the best sellers are already here, but we still have plenty of powerplants to expect, such as the S400 (twin turbo V6), S600 (twin-turbo V12) and, of course, the S65 AMG.
“This almost simultaneous launch in all key markets was only possible because production of the luxury saloon started up in record time at Mercedes-Benz's main plant in Sindelfingen. All S-Class vehicles for global distribution are rolling off the production line in Sindelfingen in a two-shift operation. So far, more than 30,000 customers have ordered the luxury sedan.” said Ola Kallenius, Member of the Divisional Board Mercedes-Benz Cars responsible for Marketing and Sales.
