The Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 has hit most dealerships in the United States this month and the Environmental Protection Agency have just released their official fuel economy ratings for the model.
A rather impressive 26 mpg city, 38 mpg highway and 30 mpg in combined fuel economy make the cheapest sedan in the Mercedes-Benz US range quite a competitive proposition in the compact executive segment.
Considering that the CLA 250 with front-wheel drive starts at just $29,900 and looks pretty much like a shrunken and modernized version of its CLS big brother, the model might in fact turn into the best sold three-pointed star model in the land of the free.
Soon, the CLA 250 will also be available with all-wheel drive, while the CLA 45 AMG is set to be launched in about a month's time.
All US-spec Mercedes-Benz CLAs are fitted with turbocharged, two-liter, four cylinder engines, with the CLA 250 offering 211 hp (208 bhp) and 350 Nm (258 lb ft) of torque, while the asphalt-hungry CLA 45 AMG offers 360 hp (355 bhp) and 450 Nm (332 lb ft) of torque.
