The all-new 2014 Kia Soul has been awarded with a five-star overall safety rating by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The Soul earned five stars in the frontal and side impact tests and four stars in the roll-over test. Driver safety received five starts in both the frontal and side crash, while passenger safety was rated at four stars in the frontal impact and five stars in the side crash.

“Soul’s 5-star safety rating speaks to Kia’s commitment to our customers. Our vehicles combine top-level safety with iconic design, world-class quality and, of course, the outstanding value for which our brand is well known,” said Michael Sprague, executive vice president of marketing & communications at Kia. “We took a great deal of care with the design and engineering of the second-generation Soul, and NHTSA’s testing has validated that effort.”

The base 2014 Soul starts from $14,700, while the Soul Plus and the Soul Exclaim are priced from $18,200 and $20,300 respectively.

Kia is also offering a Soul Red Zone special edition in the United States, which is inspired by the Wild Track'ster concept and will be built in only 2,000 units.
