2014 Ford F-150 Tremor to Pace NASCAR Trucks Race in Michigan
“Michigan International Speedway is one of the fastest tracks on the NASCAR circuit, so the vehicle pacing the field also needs to be fast,” said Jamie Allison, director at Ford Racing. “The 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor, with its light-weight configuration, EcoBoost engine and launch-optimized performance, is well-suited for this job.”
The new truck will also be driven to a few hot laps by reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski on Wednesday, while F-150 marketing manager Brian Bell will host a live Tremor Talk web chat the second day.
Even though it will lead a field of V8-powered pickup trucks, the 2014 F-150 Tremor is motivated by the company’s 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost mill that delivers 365 HP, 420 lb-ft of torque. Also fitted with twin independent variable camshaft timing for improved performance and fuel economy, the F-150 Tremor claims to offer “V8 power with V6 fuel economy”.
The all-new regular cab F-150 Tremor will go on sale this fall.
