The X5 is one of BMW's biggest achievements. Once criticized from breaking with tradition, it's now viewed as the starting point of the luxury SUV industry.
Indicating that the official launch of the official launch is just around the corner, sighting of the new 2014 model have become a lot more frequent recently. The SUV is still not fully uncamouflaged, but the covers have come off enough for us to tell what it looks like. Compared to the outgoing E70 models, it will be significantly more modern and visibly larger.

We already know how the new F15 will look like on the outside, thanks to an early leak, back in January. However, the surprises might come from under the bonnet, as the F15 X5 will be lighter and could be available with 2-liter turbo engines, a first for BMWs first SUV-like vehicle. Furthermore, recent rumors say that we'll also be seeing rear-wheel-drive X5s.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
