Dodge has unveiled the 2014 Journey Crossroad, a new version of the Journey mid-size crossover SUV that’s positioned between the SXT and Limited models and comes with an array of unique features and a “rugged, capable look”.
Scheduled to be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show next week, the 2014 Journey Crossover wears unique front and rear fascias, redesigned lower side sills, dark-tinted headlamps and taillights, exclusive 19-inch Hyper Black wheels, new leather seat design with accent stitching and Liquid Graphite appliques.
Power is provided by either the standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 173 hp and 166 pound-feet of torque or the optional 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that delivers 283 hp and 260 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is also available on the Journey Crossover.
"The Journey has always been Dodge's Swiss Army knife in the CUV segment, and with the new Journey Crossroad, we are expanding that flexibility by now offering three different exterior appearances," said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO of Dodge Brand. "The Journey Crossroad's rugged styling gives it a tough presence on the road; the available all-wheel drive system gives it the capability to back it up in a variety of bad weather driving conditions.”
The new model will go on sale this spring, with pricing starting from $24,995, not including the $995 handling and destination fee. More details are available in the official press release below.
