2014 Corvette Stingray Roadster Rendered in Profile
Yes folks, The General has changed to the point of hardly being recognisable. We can still remember the days of crappy sedans from two years ago, but the company's heart beats strongly to the sound of V8 rumble.
While people were speculating Chevrolet would use a turbo V6 or a screaming V8, they've kept true to tradition and let loose a brand new small-block powered Corvette. The 2014 model called is the first to wear the Stingray name in a long time and is undoutadly the hottest car in America right now.
The new Corvette is not only lighter but also more powerful than the old one. The 450 horsepower (estimated) engine is more advanced than even the one in the Z06. It's
even got GM's version of cylinder deactivation, so it might just be a decent daily driver.
We already have a good idea of what the convertible C7 'Vette might look like. Photos of what could be a concept or an internal rendering of the car emerged a few days ago.
However, graphics manipulator Theophilus Chin took an altogether different approach to creating the drop-top. His design looks a bit simpler and more elegant. This sliver surfer on wheels looks a bit less fussy than the fake Ferrari look of the coupe.
So, tell us which one you prefer: the silver surfer or the one in the leaked photos?
