While we're confident that the 2014 Corvette Stingray is a powerful and fast sportscar, we figure some of you boys and girls out there might be skeptical about GM's new flagship vehicle. But whether you fancy the C7 Corvette or not, this next video will prove (if still necessary) that Chevy means business with the new Vette.
We've already established that the C7 Corvette can run the quarter mile in 12 seconds, without any modifications whatsoever, more than a month ago, when Hennessey put their own version on the drag strip. But how about top speed? Can the seventh-generation Corvette reach the claimed top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h)?
According to the following video that was shot on the German Autobahn says it can do 186.4 mph (300 km/h), which is pretty close to what Chevrolet is been telling us all along. Just scroll below to watch the sportscar being driven on the Autobahn by Patrick Herrmann, Chevrolet Europe's technical manager.
