The ultra-fast 4-door coupe from BMW is still on everybody’s mind, even though it was launched quite a while back and since then we could feast our eyes on other M creations such as the new M3 and M4. And why not? The car is simply brilliant, as autoblog discovered.

In this newly created niche (four-door coupes) the M6 Gran Coupe has to take on really big competitors that are all-out after the world’s most powerful letter. I’m talking, of course, about the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG and the Audi RS7, both brilliant in their own way.

Over time, all the reviews I read were focused on the engine and how powerful it is, how brilliant is the DCT gearbox and how well the car handles. This time, we get to see how the M6 GC really is in real life. Brandon Turkus (the reviewer) had the car over a weekend filled with meaningful events so he wrote about what he found annoying in the Bimmer.

First off, the shape of the roof looks good but it’s not that practical. Getting in and out of the car could prove to be a little tricky, especially for tall people and ladies in short dressed that might accidentally pull a ‘Britney’ (you know what I
mean). That’s something you wouldn’t know just by looking at photos of the car online.

Another thing that might annoy you is the visibility. Or better yet, the lack of. As the rear window is so small and the driving position is pretty low, you’ll find it pretty difficult to park this baby without hitting the curve or getting way out of the parking spot. That’s why the parking assistant option is highly recommended (it will get you all sorts of cameras to play with when parking).

Apart from these 2 problems the car is brilliant, luxurious and powerful beyond reason. It’s expensive too, but about all that you’ll have to read in the autoblog review. Enjoy!
