In light of the recent reports regarding the Bentley SUV, I think you'll agree that Bentley is on the right path to becoming a major player, not just in the ultra-luxury segment. However, there is one thing that still defines the British mark from Crewe, and that is the W12 engine.
In a James Bond sort of way, that mill gives you instant bragging right and allows you to say "mine's the biggest". As if that wasn't enough, the Continental GT and GTC Speed models are now even more powerful.

These flagship models have been updated for the 2014 model year, their powertrains being pushed even further than ever before. 635 PS by European standards or 626 bhp using Her Majesty's measures. Torque is also up to 820 Nm, an all-time record for the brand. As a reminder, the 2014 version delivered 616 bhp (460 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque.

But for a car called "Speed", there can only be one headline: The new Bentley GT Speed coupe reaches a top speed of 206 mph (331 km/h) – the fastest production Bentley ever – while the revised convertible can reach 203 mph (327 km/h).

For a party trick, the 2014 Speed also has cosmetic upgrades, including dar tint all over and tweaks to the suspension. With so much power on tap, a bit of boasting and showboating is in order, so "Speed” and badging is applied all over to dress up the car. The visual changes inside the cabin of the GT Speed also bring a completely new "colour split" reserved exclusively for the Speed models. Starting with a dark interior, accents are applied in a contrasting colour across the doors, rear panels, fascia wings, inner console and gear lever.
