2013.5 Chrysler 200 S Special Edition Revealed Ahead of Detroit
Developed as a special edition model with Detroit-based clothing manufacturer Carhartt, the car is supposedly luxury for the hard worker, something customary for the "Imported from Detroit" ads.
For $28,870, the 200 S Special Edition boars a 283 horsepower Pentastar V6 as standard and plenty o extra trim. The mid-size sedan gets standard 18-inch aluminum wheels, platinum grille surround, platinum black lower front grille and platinum chrome accent brows for the daytime running lights.
Carhartt's input is more visible on the inside. The seats are covered in black leather and finished in triple stitching diesel grey, the same design being used on the steering wheel, armrests and center console.
“The 2013.5 Chrysler 200 S Special Edition celebrates a never-say-die attitude and the value of hard work with a car unlike any other in the marketplace,” said Saad Chehab, President and CEO – Chrysler Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “The 200 S Special Edition makes the statement that world-class quality and craftsmanship can be designed and developed in the Motor City, and embraced by consumers everywhere.”
In other Chrysler 200 news, there's a brand new one coming to next year's Detroit Motor Show, which is why this one is not a full model year.
