For 2013 Yamaha revamps their FZ6R bike, making it look more in the vein of its bigger sister R6. The result is a bike extremely suitable as a first bike for those looking forward to owning the big 1000cc toys.
Despite being a forgiving bike, the 2013 FZ6R is not a lazy machine. It's 600cc 4-stroke in-line 4-cylinder engine delivers fast acceleration and smooth power delivery useful for both commuting and countryside rides. The torque delivery has been tuned to reach a maximum around 9000 rpm, but the mid-range revs are offering more than enough, as well. Young riders will not easily outgrow the 2013 FZ6R too soon.
With adjustable seat and handlebars, the FZ6R will be able to make itself comfortable for many riders: both seat and handles come with a 20mm slack for the optimal ergonomics.
The 2013 FZ6R comes with a digital dashboard and the rider get easy reads for the speedometer, analog tachometer, odometer/tripmeter, fuel gauge, or the water coolant temperature gauge. The next season bike is available since October 2012 in dealerships for $7,790 (€6,019) for the Pearl White version, and $7,890 (€6,096) for the Team Yamaha Blue/White color scheme.
