2013 VW Golf VII GTI 5-Door in Blue [Video]
However, VW clearly wanted to build a better Golf, one that lighter and better equipped, and you can’t blame them for that. What you can blame them for is the fact that the GTI is not focused on being the most fun it can be.
When it arrives in the first half of 2013, the new GTI will only have 220 hp or at best 230 if you go for a special pack. Hot hatch fans will already know just how much more powerful its old rivals are – Megane RS has 265 hp, Ford Focus ST III has 250 hp and the Opel Astra OPC has a massive 280 hp.
We’ve already showed you the three-door concept for the MkVII Golf GTI a few days ago, and now we have video footage by Marchettino of the five-door version. We know that this more practical version will be preferred by customers over the 3-door. The concept is shod in Laser Blue Metallic, an old favorite with Golf fans and appears to have 18-inch wheels that are a fresh take on the old Monza rim.

If you still want to compare these above mentioned cars, pls do it right and take the Golf R instead, with almost equal power!
als keep in mind, the weight of the 7th generation and the cars you named above, must be atleast 200-300 kg heavier, if not more!
You need to learn to read, mate... I said you need to take the right cars for a comparisson.. its like taking a BMW M5 and a Lambo Aventador, both are racecars, you just know that the Lambo is gonna outsprint the BMW flawlessly... now you hear me saying this is fair comparisson?... I don't think so.
hahaha, you are complete joke man

well yeah, I believe that it's VW good right to sell more.
Golfs are nice allround cars, without the harsh racing looks of especially the Focus RS.
