Volkswagen has recently revealed a facelifted version of the Passat CC, which was redesigned to make use of the more angular design language of the VW brand. The car get its motor show debut at the 2011 Los Angeles International Auto Show next week.
The biggest news right now is that the four-door coupe will not be called a Passat any more, which should help it get a more premium image in the market that would not have been there if the name had stuck.
But what does the 2012 Volkswagen CC bring other than a shorter name? Well, when we first brought you the car, we discussed the North American version of it, and the US range tops out with the 3.6-liter V6. But the European-spec car that will arrive in Spring has renounced the slow-selling V6 that isn’t really suited to market conditions here, according to Autocar.
