Toyota says that the new Auris reflects their determination to engineer more appealing, dynamically engaging cars and builds on a long-established reputation for quality, durability and reliability. It certainly is an interesting car, even though it’s a bit JDM in its look.
In 2010, Toyota became the first manufacturer to offer three powertrain options on a C-segment car, petrol, diesel and hybrid, when it launched the Auris Hybrid. Now there’s a new one, and it’s been engineered into the car from the start.

The Auris Hybrid has just been unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, and to promote it, a very interesting commercial video has been released. It features the perfect match between a white Auris and a blond girl. You know what they say – if it looks good in white, it’s been well designed!

The Pearl White color is actually exclusive to hybrid models, while the interior offers Ice Gray leather also as an exclusive tone.

Toyota hopes the Auris Hybrid is now ready to achieve mainstream popularity. Since its launch some 60,000 full hybrid versions of the Toyota Auris have been sold, making it the 2nd most popular full hybrid in Europe, after the Prius.

The car is equipped with a Hybrid Synergy Drive system that combines a 1.8-liter VVT-i petrol engine and 60 kW electric motor generate a maximum power output of 136 PS, allowing the Auris Hybrid a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 10.9 seconds and a maximum speed of 180 km/h, while also emitting just 89 g/km of CO2.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
