The cars were caught on camera in a shopping area’s parking lot, next to a 2013 Skoda Superb Facelift (Black) and a normal Octavia Combi (light gray).

We’ll remind you that the two incarnations of the Octavia are offered in either a petrol or a diesel version, both borrowing their powertrains from the respective VW Golf GTI versions.

The “classic” way is to go for the 2.0-liter TSI petrol, which produces 220 HP, while the 2.0 TDI oil burner comes with an output of 184 hp. A six-speed manual is standard for both, but you can opt for a six-speed dual-clutch DSG.

Since the Octavia also shares the new MQB platform with the Golf VII, the Czech model offers a number of important changes compared to the previous generations. The most notable are a weight reduction, as well as a lowered ground clearance.
