You must remember Gray Design for its intriguing, futuristic-looking "Xhibitionist" yacht design they introduced about a month ago, as well as the matching Xhibit G supercar.
After taking a small brake, the Swedish design company came back with their own interpretation of the 2013 Saab 9-3, a car that never made it into production after the automaker filed for bankruptcy.
As stated by Gray Design, their Saab 9-3 Mark III is "merely an attempt to take the car's basic line and grow them into a larger hatchback model" with past design cues for a modern, yet classic appearance.
Thus, the 9-3 envisioned by Gray Design doesn't miss Saab's "hockey stick" window trim or the horizontal chrome trim grille, but also features the more recent horizontal brake lights and side vents. The designer even went back to the 1947 Ursaab prototype for the pointed hood lines and the rounded rear window.
A great link with the past we might add, and probably a successful design if put into production (which is not very likely unfortunately).
