2013 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman Coming

Ram recently announced the 2013 1500 Outdoorsman edition, with the company offering us some details of the model, but without any images. The vehicle will use in a two-tone paint scheme using Mineral Gray for the bumpers and various body elements. Special badges will also be present, as well as 17-inch aluminum wheels that use 10-ply LT rubber. Customers will be able to choose between two can sizes and two bed lengths.

As for the cabin, the Outdoorsman model will offer a cloth upholstery, a leather-finished steering wheels, as well as an infotainment system, but the list of optional extras includes goodies like a premium audio system and a navigation system.

Under the hood, we get a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that delivers 400 hp and a peal torque of 407 lb-ft (551 Nm), which comes standard with a six-speed automatic, but can also be matted to an optional TorqueFlite 8-speed auto. The standard model sends its power to the rear wheels and customers can opt for a four-wheel drive system.

The tech features also include a limited-slip differential, a class IV hitch, a trailer sway control system, as well as heavy duty dampers for 4WD models.
