A new topless goddess is born into this world, the much anticipated Aventador Roaster. You might be tempted to brush this temptress off as just a topless Aventador, but she still has so much more to show.
As you’d expect, the heart of the mechanical beauty is still a 6.5-liter V12 engine rated at the same 700 Italian horsepower. Acceleration is only marginally affected, as it reaches 100 km/h in 3 seconds flat, while the top speed of 217 mph (349 km/h) is reason enough to sell your topless Murcielago right now.
If the fabric top on your Murcielago is annoying you to no end, kill it and buy one of these. The Aventador Roadster features a new two-piece carbon fiber roof. You’ll have to remove it or install it by hand, but Lamborghini believes that since it only weighs 6 kg (13 lbs), everybody should be man enough to handle this beauty.
The roof had to be redesigned, and is now even more of an art piece. The engine cover has also been redesigned with split screens providing vision of the V12 heart and ample ventilation.
Some of the new cool features on the car include some staggered wheels 20-inch front and 21-inch rear, that reduce the overall weight by 10 kg (22 pounds). Also, a new colors was introduced – Azzuro Thetis, a throwback to the Miura Roadster. Way to pay respect to your elders. The interior upholstery is Sabbia Nefertem, but the trim is identical to the coupe’s layout.
Order books have been opened already, and the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster will set you back €300,000 (about $380,000 at the current exchange rates) excluding taxes.
