Ladies and gentlemen, they deactivated the Aventador LP700-4 to make it more economical. The model shown in Paris today as a 2013 model year might have snazzy black accents, but it’s a button form inside it that got us interested..
The 6.5-liter V12 in the mighty supercar will come with engine start/stop system and cylinder deactivation technology.

Just like on any other car with this system start/stop cuts the engine at the lights. When the pedal is pressed, the V12 roars back into life in 180 milliseconds.

The cylinder deactivation system will make V12 into a six-cylinder when the car is doing low loads at less than 135 km/h or 84 mph. By doing this, both the emissions and fuel consumption can be decreased by 20 percent at highway speeds of up to 80 mph.

For 2013, the car will also get new Dione wheels and revised suspension.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
