Feeling a bit nostalgic wen remembering the nice choppers of old? Well, sigh no more, as Harley-Davidson prepares a nifty treat for 2013: the Heritage Softail Classic.
And since next year Harley-Davidson celebrates their 110th anniversary, the Heritage Softail Classic can be customized with all the nifty elements you could imagine. So you can get the classic H-D styling with the hidden rear shock and the looks of a retro hardtail, full-wrap fenders, fat chrome forks and massive headlight with two additional lamps but still there's more.
Custom anniversary paint jobs and aged finishes can adorn your “new old stock” bike and old-school studded leather saddles are also available. You can choose to install a 110th Anniversary serialization plate on the bike as thus underline its unique character.
As for the technology side, you get all the best Harley-Davidson has to offer: their proven Twin -Cam 103 electronic fuel injection engine delivering its power and torque to the six-speed Cruise Drive gearbox and promising an enjoyable ride, solo or two-up, highway or mountain roads alike.
You also get full-size rider floorboards, a tall handlebar and easily detachable windshield for longer trips in complete comfort. The ABS is optional and is a part of the Security Package. The 2013 Heritage Softail Classic retails for a base price of $17,599 (€13,546), while the Anniversary edition starts at $20,799 (€16,000).
