The Gumball 3000's 15th Anniversary Route has been officially announced. The action packed, sleep deprivation, rock ’n roll race will start on the 18th of May in the beautiful city of Copenhagen.
The tour will include Stockholm, Turku, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Riga, Warsaw and Vienna on the way to this year’s Monaco Grand Prix.
“This has to be one of our finest routes yet, with many surprises in store as part of our anniversary celebrations. From the sophistication of Scandinavia to the jet-set glamour of Monte Carlo - Gumball 3000 will bring its unique cocktail of high style, lavish hospitality, wild nights, extraordinary personalities and the most elite cars to Europe.” stated the Gumball 3000 crew on the official website.
The event’s attitude is summed up by the saying “Gumball isn’t a race; it’s rally”. You don’t have to be first at the finish line to win the “Spirit Of Gumball”, as every participant of the insane road action and crazy parties along the way will achieve it by default.
Many celebrities join the tour, like David Hasselhoff, Jodie Kidd, Xzibit, Tony Hawk and even it’s creator and host Maximillion Cooper. Anyway, the event is open for everyone if you fulfill the two conditions; one being that you have to be selected from the application process, and two, you will have to pay the £30,000 (€35,121/$45,342) entering fee.
