The idea of a touring-oriented Diavel is as funny as it gets, but it is crazy in a good way. We here have smiled broadly looking at the all-new 2013 Ducati Diavel Strada, because we rode the Carbon and just know what the Diavel can be like when pushed hard.
And yes, the idea of pushing a Diavel Carbon into higher rpm with a passenger was suicidal; we didn't ride with pillion, anyway. That's why we totally dig the addition of a pillion backrest: it's not necessarily for resting as it prevents losing your better half during a more powerful acceleration.
The 2013 Ducati Diavel Strada looks as good as it gets and the gunmetal-ish color scheme does it justice. The panniers could have been bigger however, as there is still enough room on the bike and a little more weight is not a problem for the 162 HP beast.
The absence of the windshield during longer trips was clearly felt, so the 2013 Ducati Diavel Strada medium-sized stylish protector is a most welcome addition. Can't wait to see a Diavel Strada some 4000 km away from its home!
