2013 Chevrolet Malibu Gets Price Cut to Stay Competitive
The $345 cut makes the entry-level Malibu cheaper that the Toyota Camry, which starts at $22,235 (plus $795 shipping fee), and reports say that General Motors is hoping to attract more online shoppers this way.
“We did it in order to try to generate more potential traffic on the car both on the websites as well as dealers but I can’t tell you that January itself was a big change just because of that. It recognizes the competitivness of the segment and ensures that we remain on the shopping list”, said Russ Clark, Malibu’s marketing director, according to Detroit News.
Reports also say that Chevrolet is planning some design changes for the Malibu, including a roomier back seat. The improvements are to be introduced in third quarter this year.
