The new M6 is one of the most talked about new cars of the moment. Scheduled to debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show according to most sources, the car is going set the bar when it comes to performance coupes and convertibles.
As you can see from the photos of the car undergoing testing on the famous Nurburgring track, it’s got a generously-size front, with huge intakes and other aerodynamic components.

Most sources agree that the new M6 will have the same 560 hp from a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8, just like the M5. However, unlike the M5, the coupe will have a carbon fiber roof, as well as other components in order to offer reduced weight.

BMW Blog
recently reported that this will translate into a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 4.2 seconds. Should you be that impressed with them shaving 0.4 seconds off? We are, because it’s also 0.1s faster than the new Carrera S with PDK, which will be in the same price range.
