Google’s self-driving Toyota Prius is a technological marvel, which paves the way for other driverless cars in the future. It shows us that it is already technologically feasible to have a car which can safely drive itself, along with its precious human cargo from point A to point B.
They broke another milestone when they got it legalized for road use in Nevada - the law concerning it went into effect on March 1st this year, and the first driverless car got is license a bit later in the year, in May. Also, with 300,000 autonomous miles under their belt, the Google team have good reason to be confident.

Now, the such cars are already legal in two additional states: Florida and California, but we’re pretty sure that the rest of the country will follow in the not too distant future (a few years at most). Also, while Google has no plans to commercially develop the system, they will undoubtedly decide to sell it at one point, but not necessarily to regular car buyers, but rather to the best-paying automaker.

Take a good look at this seemingly dull-looking Prius with a few sensors strapped to it, of which we got a few great HD shots of, as it represents the future!
