When we tested the new ML 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC we found a car that looked sporty (for an SUV, of course), but didn’t move this way, so a tuning package would be perfect for it.
In fact, this is why we’re here, to talk about a modification package for the ML, with the proposal coming from Carlsson. Like we said, once fitted with the AMG exterior pack, the vehicle looks just fine, so we’ll ignore the exterior side of the Carlsson kit (actually it’s due to the fact that we see it as crossing the overkill line) and focus on the tech side of this development.
The 3.0-liter V7 deisel has been fitted with a C-tronic ECU play unit that allows it to produce 310 hp and 700 Nm instead of the 258 hp and 620 Nm factory values. The vehicle can handle the extra power thanks to the use of the C-Tronic suspension control unit that comes with a special iPhone app that allows you to play with the settings - the system can lower the ride height by up to 30 mm.
