Audi is celebrating the 2012 London Olympics by releasing a dedicated one-off version of its A1 e-Tron EV. This is called the Audi A1 e-Tron Germany Olympic Team Edition, uses a custom livery that, of course, includes Germany’s national colors and rides on custom alloy wheels that are also part of the special color scheme.
The same visual idea is followed inside the car, where the A1 e-Tron gets custom trimming. As for the tech side of the vehicle, this has remained unchanged, so the o to 60 mph sprint is dealt with in 10 seconds, while the top speed sits at 120 km/h (80 mph).
Audi is an official partner of the German Olympic Sports Confederation, as well as of the National Paralympic Committee Germany and the company has sent a fleet of 60 A1 e-Trons to London in order for the cars to cater to the transportation needs of its athletes.
