G-Power, a tuner that has an obsession with taking BMWs to ridiculously cool power levels, has targeted the 2012 M5 and, after two months of work, is now releasing its Stage 1 package for the vehicle.
The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 unit has been boosted to 640 hp and 780 Nm, which means that it develops an extra 80 hp and 100 Nm compared to the stock setup. Thanks to the addition of a stainless steel exhaust system, the engine now also has a deeper growl. In addition to that, G-Power has removed the electronic speed limiter, with the sedan now being able to hit a top speed of 310 km/h (192.5 mph).
The vehicle comes with matching stopping power, as it uses a ceramic braking system, which comes with 400 mm rotors for the front axle. As for the connection to the road, this is established using a set of 21-inch forged three-piece Silverstone RS wheels.
