2012 Arctic Cat Snowmobiles Unveiled

After Polaris and BRP have taken the wraps off their snowmobile line-up for 2012, it’s now Arctic Cat’s turn to do the same. The company has just unveiled 23 all-new snowmobile models, representing 75 percent of the 2012 line-up, which will be accompanied by extensive sled offerings and a large number of snow-related parts, garments and accessories.

New for 2012 are the chassis, suspension, drive and braking technologies. In addition, all Arctic Cat snowmobiles are equipped with electronic, push-button reverse systems for quick, easy activation. The 800 and 570 engines use engine-reverse technology.

The new Arctic SnowCats are spread across six segments, including Trail Performance, Mountain, Crossover, Utility, Luxury Touring and Youth.

Taken separately, the new Arctic Cats for the Trail Performance segment include 9 F Series models, from the F570 to the F1100 Turbo high-speed racing sled, which feature the ProCross Chassis, the ARS front-suspension, and the Slide-Action rear suspension. Experimented riders can choose the F1100 Turbo Sno Pro, including the Limited and 50 Anniversary editions.

The Mountain section offers 9 new M Series mountain sled models, namely several variations of the M800 and M1100. These feature the all-new ProClimb Chassis, the latest ARS suspension technology, ADS drive system and RMC hydraulic brakes.

The Crossover XF Series come with the ProCross Chassis, ARS front suspension, Tapered 2-Piece Tunnel on the chassis for improved ergonomics and leg comfort, and the new RMC brake.

Arctic Cat’s versatile Bearcat line fits the Utility segment, all built on Arctic Cat’s Twin Spar chassis. New for 2012, Arctic Cat is introducing the Bearcat Z1 XT Groomer Special, which is accompanied by the Bearcat 570, Bearcat 570 XT, Bearcat Z1 XT and Bearcat Z1 XT Limited. The XT Limited version adds touring-focused features such as a third seat, rear storage bag, engine heater, heated driver seat and an extra-tall windshield.

The Luxury section includes an entry T570 2-stroke, as well as three luxury TZ1 models. Standard features include: heated driver seat and heated, removable 2-up passenger seat, three removable storage bags, electric start and reverse, heated passenger grips with wind deflectors and an accessory outlet.

Finally, younger riders get the the Sno Pro 120 that is limited to a top speed of 8mph (13 km/h).
