Renault has just presented the first 2011 Modus photo, with the model projected to go on sale on the French market in September this year. Pricing will begin at EUR14,450 for Renault's domestic market, and go up to EUR19,550. There will be four configurations available across the range, with the limited-edition Exception version that was rolled out in 2009 now being offered as a separate trim level for the new Modus.

The Authentique version comes with body color exterior mirrors, 15-inch Faraway wheels, ABS and EBA, front airbags, lateral head/thorax airbags, trip computer and electric front windows.

The Expression configuration adds manual climate control, heated electric exterior mirrors, one-touch driver's side electric window and a 40W radio-CD with
steering wheel-mounted fingertip remote control.

Dynamique will bring you an extra package comprising tinted rear glass, chrome details, 15-inch Taranils wheels, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear level knob, curtain airbags, rain sensors, automatic climate control, electric rear windows and dedicated cornering lights.

Last but not least, the brand new Exception equipment level adds 16-inch Moal alloy wheels, cruise control with speed limited, anodized satin-finish central fascia details and combined leather/fabric upholstery.

At this point, the Modus is offered with three engine configurations, 1.2, 1.6 16V and TCE 100, producing between 75 and 112 horsepower. The top-of-the-range version is powered by a 1.6 16V engine that develops 112 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 151 Nm of torque at 4250 rpm. Thanks to this setup, the car is able to go from a naught to sixty in 12.3 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 184 km/h.
