2011 PiCycle ST Electric Bike Is Theft Protected

It’s lightweight, eco-friendly, easy to ride and most importantly, theft-proof. The PiCycle, as it has been dubbed by its creator, Marcus Hays, is all of those things. Set to go on sale in Spring 2011 at the price of $2,495, the fully electric bicycle incorporates a built-in theft-recovery service, which also updates its location on your smartphone.

The PiCycle also comes to show that Wi-Fi is overrated, by bringing the Pi-Fi, an embedded wireless technology which will stream critical data to the PiCycle owner’s smartphone or iPod touch courtesy of a native application.

This way, the PiMobility software is able to monitor battery health, battery charging frequency, battery cycle life, and others.

“Whichever way you want to ride, you’ll feel fabulous. Even when handling steep, 25% grade, SF-class hills, congested roadways, narrow streets, or the quick trip to your favorite restaurant,”
says Karl Morris, VP Marketing and Communications.

“PiCycle is everything you could want in a lightweight, earth-friendly mode of personal mobility. And to help make this so we’ll do everything in our power to make sure your PiCycle experience is easy, convenient, personable, and actually enjoyable in fulfilling your quest for a better Earth-in-balance mobility solution,” adds Greg Hall, Sales Manager
