The 2011 model year will bring a mild revamp for the Nissan Rogue, with the fresh version of the crossover scheduled to hit the market next month.

The exterior design of the vehicle has received minor but well-thought changes, with the list including a new front fascia and grille, fresh and rear spoilers, a new side door guard that uses a chrome finish, new front and rear tire deflectors and a chrome finish for the license plate support.

The Rogue range has been reinvented and now includes the S and SV trim levels, together with the sporty S Krom Edition (this comes with goodies such as 18 inch alloy rims).

Nissan offers updates like low rolling resistance tires and a new under-body cover, with the facelift also bringing new entertainment features The Rogue offers a 1 mpg fuel efficiency increase for both highway and city driving. The FWD model now has an EPA rating of 22/28 mpg while the 4WD offers 22/26 mpg.

Nissan’s North American arm announced that it will unveil the 2011 Rogue at the 23rd annual Z Car Convention in Nashville, an event that celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Nissan Z Car.

"It seems appropriate to debut the new Rogue among this important gathering of Z enthusiasts, since Rogue shares many of the original Z's core values – exciting styling, excellent value and a fun-to-drive spirit," said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, NNA.

"The Rogue S Krom Edition, with its more aggressive styling, sport-tuned exhaust and 18-inch wheels and tires, also fits right in among the many unique and modified Z cars appearing at the convention."
