Local Motors, the car builder behind the idea of open-source automotive development, showed off its Rally Fighter at SEMA two years ago. Since then, the numbers have grown and one has snuck its way onto eBay to tempt enthusiast of big wheels, big jumps and with a wallet that’s fuller than the average Joe.

The fully built-up Rally Fighter is for sale on eBay Motors, and you can "Buy It Now" for $84,900. At that kind of money it’s not exactly the bargain of the century, but you do get a 430 horsepower 6.2-liter V8 lump of performance under the bonnet, which would otherwise be found inside a Corvette. The engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and both are covered by a GM Performance Parts warranty.

The vehicle is a rear-wheel drive model and the Fox suspension provides 18 inches of travel in the front and 20 in the back. In the brakes department, the Rally Fighter has discs all-round - 13-inch ventilated with dual-piston calipers in the front and 13.7-inch ventilated with single-piston at the back.

Inside the Rally Fighter, a set of Sparco seats help keep occupants in place in any conditions, and the power windows, air conditioning and heat will help keep them comfortable.

If the asking price seems a bit steep for your tastes, the seller is also accepting offers. The new owner can choose to have it painted in a different color, as the vehicle is currently shown in its gel coat form. The Rally Fighter will be vinyl wrapped upon purchase according to new owners preferences, which is sure to impress any business owner who wants a bit of off-road exposure.
