Chevrolet’s South American division is introducing the 2011 Montana pick-up.

The vehicle is powered by a 1.4 liter EcoFlex four-cylinder engine that delivers 97 hp when running on petrol and 102 hp when using ethanol. The engine pushes the vehicle to 62 mph in 12.1 seconds and allows it to keep accelerating until 105 mph (170 km/h).

Subsequently, a beefier engine will be added to the line-up, but only for the Argentinean market. We are talking about a four-cylinder 1.8 liter engine.

The 2011 Montana measures 4.51 meters (177 inches) in length, 1.7 meters (67 inches) is width and is 1.58 meters (62 inches) tall. For now, the vehicle is offered in two version: LS and Sport. The fist one is intended for daily use, while the second has a more recreational aim.

The vehicle offers a cargo capacity of 1,180 liters. This is decreased to 1,100 liters if the special protective box is chosen. The Montana offers a set of special lateral steps that offer easy access to the cargo space.

As we are talking about a pick-up, the vehicle has been fitted with a reinforced suspension system that uses heavy-duty springs and dampers. This allows the car to sit at the top of its segment in terms of payload capacity, as it can carry up to 758 kg (1,671 lbs).

The interior of the vehicle comes with two distinct areas, for the driver and the passenger. The first one is focused on offering visibility and uses a more technical approach, while the latter offers more comfort, coming with superior legroom, as well as multiple storage spaces. The car offers a high driving position.
