Instead, we have Dacia's Duster, the first time a Romanian model reaches this phase of the competition, Nissan Leaf, also the first time an electric model goes that far, as well as Alfa's Giulietta and the new Volvo S60.
The big winner will be announced on November 29, 2010, with each member of the jury, which by the way counts 58 people, to allocate a total of 25 points for each finalist. Each model can't receive more than 10 points and every member will have to write a small text to explain his decision.
Here are the seven models that are still in the race for the 2011 Car of the Year prize:
- Alfa Romeo Giulietta
- Citroën C3/DS3
- Dacia Duster
- Ford C-Max/Grand C-Max
- Nissan Leaf
- Opel/Vauxhall Meriva
- Volvo S60/V60
Because we're really interested in your opinion, autoevolution will start a poll to find out which of the seven finalists has the biggest chances to snatch the award. You can express your choice in the poll published in the left part of the website.
