German carmaker BMW had just revealed pricing information for the 2011 Alpina B7, one month after revealing the sedan will be coming to the United States this spring. Getting straight to the point, BMW announced that pricing for the 2011 BMW Alpina B7 will start at $122,875 for the standard wheelbase and $126,775 for the extended wheelbase.

The 2011 BMW Alpina B7 will be making its North American debut at the Chicago International Auto Show and will be available at nationwide dealers in the full line of BMW 7 Series exterior colors, in addition to the signature Alpina Blue metallic paint.

Alpina aerodynamic developments include front and rear spoilers, two polished double-tailpipes exhaust system, 21-inch wheels (or 20-spoke ALPINA CLASSIC wheels), while interior enhancements include the Alpina logo featured on the upper seatbacks of the standard leather Comfort seats and on the engine bay.

Hand-stitched Lavalina leather also covers the dashboard, door panels and the center console. Other features include multi-contour front seats with heating and cooling and heated rear seats.

The car’s standard BMW 4.4l all-aluminum V8 engine was tweaked by Alpina into developing 500 hp and 700 Nm of torque, enabling it to sprint from naught to sixty in 4.5 seconds and keep on accelerating to “virtually any speed,” bmwblog.com reports.

The powerplant is paired with a six-speed sport automatic transmission, which features Alpina SWITCH-TRONIC transmission control, allowing the driver to select either Sport or Manual driving modes.
