Volvo recently announced the US pricing for the latest addition to the 2010 XC60 range, a normally-aspirated 3.2-liter unit that will arrive on the market this summer. In short terms, 2010 XC60 3.2 will be available with either a front-wheel drive system or an all-wheel drive, with pricing starting at $32,395 and $34,395, respectively.

To get straight to the point, the 3.2-liter powerplant is exactly the same engine available on the S80 sedan rolled out in 2008. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and generates 235 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque. Just as expected, it is particularly interested in reducing fuel consumption, with figures going around 27 mpg on the highway and 18 in urban cycle.

The XC60 3.2 will include all safety features available on the stock AWD, such as Roll Stability Control (RSC), pretensioned seatbelts in all seating positions, Dynamic Stability Traction Control (DSTC), ABS, WHIPS and SIPS side-impact protection system.

Other standard features include the following: 17-inch alloy wheels; auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, Bluetooth with hands free capability, dual zone Electronic Climate Control, front fog lamps, HD Radio, high performance audio system with 8-speakers, a 4x40 amplifier, CD player with MP3 capability, cargo area load cover, power driver's seat with memory function including the outside mirrors, Sirius Satellite Radio including a 6-month complimentary subscription and USB and auxiliary inputs.

There will be several optional packages available, including a Premium Package (leather, tinted rear windows and cargo area, power passenger seat) - $1,700, Climate Package (heated front and rear seats, headlamp washers, rain sensor, humidity sensor, heated windshield washer nozzles) - $1,000 and Multimedia Package (rear park assist camera and Dynaudio Premium Sound System with Dolby Pro Logic II Surround Sound Navigation System with DVD Map Data, Real-Time Traffic, & Remote Control) - $2,700.
