We’ll start with the Z06X Track Car, which is a four-wheeled display for General Motors performance parts that can turn the Corvette from a top road performer into a track animal. The vehicle has been developed in collaboration with Pratt and Miller, Chevrolet’s American LeMans Series partner.
The modification program was focused on cutting weight, as this enhances performance in all areas, including acceleration, braking and cornering. Thus, the car was fitted with car multiple carbon fiber body parts, which also enhance its aerodynamics. The list of carbon fiber exterior elements includes a front lip spoiler, a hood dome, side skirts and a generously-sized rear wing.
The car has also been packed with other motorsport equipment, such as a rollcage and a set of carbon-ceramic brakes that are as fade-free as possible. An important part of the performance parts installed on the car are already available for purchase.
The concept is packed with special accessories, such as exterior decals and interior Jake-branded console trimming and floor mats. These will be offered to customers in the future. The vehicles rides on Z06 rims that use a Competition Gray finish.
