2010 Porsche 911 Turbo Pictures Galore

Just as we told you last week, the German automaker Porsche will officially showcase the facelifted 911 Turbo at the Frankfurt Auto Show next month. But before the first public appearance of the car, the carmaker also wanted to give us a glimpse into how the future model will look like and launched some photos with both the coupe and cabriolet. Unfortunately, only a few images were available at that time but still enough to give us an idea on the design of the new 911 Turbo.

Well, the company has just rolled out a bunch of new pictures with the two versions through its Facebook account, showing both the exteriors and the interiors. There's not much to say about these photos, as they do nothing than to confirm the specifications we wrote about last week.

The new top of the range 911 comes equipped with a 3.8-liter engine that releases a maximum power of 500 hp (368 kW). It is the first entirely new engine in Turbo's history that comes with Direct Fuel Injection and a Porsche turbocharger with variable turbine geometry on a gasoline power unit, the company said in a release published last month. Additionally, a seven-speed PDK Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (Double-Clutch Gearbox) is offered as standard.

The aforementioned engine is tweaked for the best fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions, with figures improved by 18 percent if we trust Porsche's statement. The new 911 Turbo achieves 11.4 - 11.7 ltr/100 km (equal to 24.8 - 24.1 mpg), while jumping from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. Top speed goes as high as 312 km/h or 194 mph.
